skilld update --check --jsonnow gives Agents the exact Git relation, both ancestry counts, and up to 500 newest commit summaries.Public Repositories use anonymous GitHub compare requests. Private Repositories use skilld.dev. The skilld token never goes to GitHub. Checks run in batches with four requests at most. A failed Skill keeps the other results visible, including rate limit timing.
Plain updates now accept fast-forward commits only. Rewinds and diverged refs stop for confirmation. skilld prepares every exact commit before any write. It then commits the full selection through one recoverable transaction. If preparation or commit fails, the store restores every prior version.
